Three Reasons I Craft
I was thinking this morning why I enjoy crafting so much, because any chance I get I'm picking something up and doing things with it like twisting or gluing, lol! Mostly I enjoy creating and then writing about it... my three favorite things to do - create, write, help others... But here are the three reasons I see people crafting:
- To make money... it is a decent income if you're good but an aweful amount of work.
- To make for gifts - and the gift season is coming. Many people start crafting for this reason.
- To feed the soul - this is my reason. That sense of accomplishment and the enjoyment of crafts. I love it!

Wow, I feel the same way. I recently created my own blog site. . .it's a great medium to express oneself even if nobody else reads it but yourself.
The main reason I craft aside from making money, making gifts, and feeding my soul (like you) is that it helps me to relax and escape from any stressors in my life. My complete focus is on creating and nothing bothers me (except when I mess up on my crafts - but at least it's harmless). I wake up in the morning feeling enthusiastic, with a sense of purpose, one that is of choice not of obligation.
