Digital Scrapbooking with Paint Shop Pro 9

PSP9 Tutorial: Make the Too Easy Pearl

You can use these for tags, stitch them together or anything you want - they are a fun element to use in layouts. This is made with Paint Shop Pro 9, other versions may differ slightly. Here's how:

1.) Create image

    Width: 200 pixels
    Height: 200 pixels
    Resolution 200 dpi
    Raster background
    16 million color depth
    fill with background color

2.) Effects -> Artistic Effects -> Balls and Bubbles
Choose preset = pearls
Shape = single ball or bubble.

The preset is setup like this if you don't have it:
Shape = single ball - max size checked
Surface = Opacity - 100; Shininess - 50 ; Gloss - 23;
Environment Map - pearl
Illumination - max - 51; min - 37; Highlight size - 23; Color - #7f6565; lights - light 1.

You can download the pearl map here, place it in your environment maps folder in your psp program. 3.) You're done! Too easy!!

4.) Export as a png.
