PSP9 Tutorial: Export a Jpeg or Png File

When working with large files it is always good to optimize them to save memory, as in the case of a .jpg or you may want to save the transparency which is the case in a .png file. For either reason, psp9 handles this very easily, you simply export the file instead of saving the file. We will do a .png file, both file types are similar. This is made with Paint Shop Pro 9, other versions may differ slightly. Here's how:

1.) Create your image. Then, File -> Export -> PNG Optimizer

    Settings:
    Colors - 16.7 million colors
Transparency - Alpha Channel Transparency and Exisiting image or layer transparency
    Gamma - use system default
    Format - Interlaced
Download times - pretty cool huh?
2.) Click okay and you will be prompted to save the file.

3.) The file you have in your psp will not have a file name, but it is saved. If you are worried, open the file you saved and close the working copy.
