Digital Scrapbooking with PSP9

PSP9 Tutorial: Make Element Cut Outs

Using Preset Shapes

Set your foreground to black and your background to white.

Create a shape that your wish to cut out of, a large circle or rounded square.

Fill in with black.

Using the preset shape, choose one and draw it in white on your shape.

Using the magic wand, select your shape.

Edit-> cut.

Selections -> select none.

Save this as a png file and use as many times as you want by filling in with your papers.

Using Fonts

The main difference with fonts is that PSP tends to make a new layer until you deselect the font. So follow above but you'll need to deselect the font and then reselect it with the magic wand. Set your font to 'Floating'.

I love to use this to make borders for layouts and cards.
