Interesting facts:

  • Malachite was also a popular ornamental stone in Czarist Russia, where it was used to make the columns of St. Isaac's Cathedral in Leningrad.
  • It is believed that gazing at malachite or holding it relaxes the nervous system and calms stormy emotions.
