Robin Pearl Collar Necklace
Simple ladder weave with beautiful beads makes this an elegant necklace for a bride. It is worn as a collar necklace with the drop of chain, crystals and pearls. The directions for the earrings can be found here.
You'll need these supplies:
- silver lobster claw clasp
- 40 inches beading wire
- 3.5 inches chain; cut into two pieces: one at 1 inch, the second at 2.5 inches
- 22 - 4mm Swarovski crystals
- 20 - 6mm X 3mm rhinestone rondelles; gold plate
- 96 silver lined clear size 11 seed beads
- 2 - 4mm silver rounds
- 3 - 8mm Swarovski crystals
- 2 - 6mm Swarovski crystals
You'll need these tools:
- wire cutters
- crimping pliers
1.) Bead the clasp and place in the middle of the beading wire. Put both ends through a crimp bead and a 6mm crystal. Fit the crimp snuggley to the clasp with both ends of the beading wire even on each side. Crimp.
2.) Using the headpins, loop and wrap one 8mm crystal, four pearls and four 4mm crystals attaching them going up one side of the 2.5 inch chain as shown in the picture.
3.) Create a pearl bead drop on the end of the 1 inch chain.
4.) Bead on each wire: one seed bead, two pearls, one seed bead. Ladder weave through a 4mm crystal. Repeat ten times.
5.) Bead on each wire: one seed bead, two pearls, one seed bead. Bead both wires through one 8mm crystal, one 4mm silver round, one link at the end of the beaded chain, one 4mm silver round, one 8mm crystal.
6.) Bead on each wire: one seed bead, two pearls, one seed bead. Ladder weave through a 4mm crystal. Repeat ten times.
7.) Bead on each wire: one seed bead, two pearls, one seed bead. Bead on both wires one 6mm crystal and one crimp bead and one end of the 1 inch chain with the pearl drop. Bring the wires back through the crimp bead and crystal. Fit snuggley and crimp. Trim the ends.
