When I need motivation, I pull out my scrapbooks

Seriously, whenever I need motivation for anything - work, cleaning, writing - I pull out my scrapbooking. It is such a creative craft that the creativity doesn't stop when you are done doing it. I get such warm fuzzy when looking at pictures of my family. It charges me and puts my life in prespective all at the same time.

Free Scrapbooking Printable: Tiger Print

Do you have more than 1 child? I do - three girls and none of them want to do a group thing for Halloween. I wanted to be the 'Witmer Zoo'. Cute, huh? I could use the free printable I created and everything for the LO. My teen rolled her eyes, my preteen laughed at me - not giggled - laughed right in my face; My three-year-old just ran around saying no!no!no!.

Back to the drawing board... enjoy the printable - I'm going to use it yet!

Scrapbooking tip: Label Your Photos!

Note to self:

Use acid free pens but make sure you label them with the who, what, where, and date. This makes it much easier to go back and scrap. You can expand on the label in your journaling in your scrapbook. I just pick out a picture and spent a full week trying to find out the name of the man who was in it with my daughter(it was a youth minister for her confirmation pics). I knew the name back when I got the picture, but forgot it :(

When you are old and gray and nodding by the fire, take down this book and slowly read. -William Butler Yeats

OR

I have only to take down this or that to flood my soul with memories. -Dorothie Deluzy

Okay, I'm not looking forward to the day when I'm old and gray - but I will have my books ;-)
