DSP Blog Prompt: What's the one thing your dream home must have?
As stated in previous posts on this blog, we are looking to build this spring/summer. I am really looking forward to it. The one thing that this dream home must have is an office. I’ve been writing for over 11 years now, professionally, I want an office.
At first it was great to write out in the open. My kids were little and my puter was in a central location so that I could monitor my girls if need be – which was always. Now that they are a bit grown, I’ve gotten a few uninterrupted hours where a complete idea comes to fruitarian and becomes an article before I have to look up from my desk. It’s amazing! So, I’ve put my foot down… the house has an office or the dog house becomes his new home.
Now, if I’m just dreaming, a solid wall fish tank about 6-foot high would be really cool ;-)

I hear you on having a place you can go to think and not have the kids or hubby interrupting you. Love the comment about the office and the dog house, too.
Absolutely Denise. If you write professionally you definitely need a proper place to do it.
