Girl Scout Cookie Sale - Done!
This year's cookie sale was very successful, in more ways then one. First, we did our basic sell to anyone and everyone. It came in, did a second order and that is being delivered. Then we had a booth sale at John's Market today. The girls did very well! Gigi and Amanda stood outside with signs and people actually read them and came in to get the cookies. We sold out of a few of the types and only have 15 boxes left all around. I believe two of those are gone now too. Briana did very well too, as she didn't want to get up and do this sale... being 16 and not in the mood to be anywhere on a Saturday morning but in bed. I was surprised to see her smile before 10am, but she did - and I loved it!
My new troop is doing better than I thought it would and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Parents are really coming through for the girls and helping out. I wish I had an actual co-leader but I prefer this to forcing someone to 'help out' and then not getting any help or just getting a lot of complaining. I really enjoy watching the girls and providing experiences for them. The ones that came today learned a lot and, as always, so did I.

I so appreciate all the work you Girl Scout leaders do! I help as much as I can with my dd's troop, but her leader is fantastic! Thanks for all you ladies do to ensure that our daughters will be well-equipped to handle the 'real world'!
I also appreciate all the work the leaders do - ours is fantastic! I help with what I can so I've been the Cookie Mom for the troop the last couple of years and can identify with your comments.
I actually found my way to this blog via a search on Girl Scout and scrapbooking. I was in the store the other day and saw scrapbook material for the Girl Scouts and wondered if any of it was digital yet. I'm not done looking, but if you know of any I would appreciate a reply. We took our Senior Scouts to Savannah a couple of weeks ago and I'm trying to make a troop scrapbook of the trip. Thanks!
