When you are going to take a trip take along a notebook and be sure that there is a pen with it. Place it where you will always have it at hand. Tell everyone taking the trip where the book is and to jot down notes about what they see, hear, smell, feel. If someone says something funny, put it in the book! If you keep up with it, you will have more than enough information to journal when you scrap your trip.

Do you want to make your scrapbook layouts more unique? One sure fire way is to add quotes! The use of quotes from people around you, the news or using a famous quote will give your layout distinction. It can fulfill the feeling you are trying to get across. Take a look at this example. I’ve used a quote from Anne Frank, “Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands.” It elegantly puts into words how I feel about my daughters and how I raise them. Today I was in the mood to download some paper pack freebies… cuz I saw some and they were pretty and well, you have to have some control! I mean, otherwise I would be downloading all day. Plus, I only like downloading the best… some freebies are just okay and I don’t have that much memory. (no insult to those who work hard at freebies!)
