Scrapbooking Tip #1 Glue and Adhesive

Quick Links: Scrapbook Ideas and Tips | All Scrapbook Resources

One of the first questions a new scrapbooker has is, "How to I adhere things to a page safely?" By 'safely' we mean in a way as to keep your precious memories from deteriorating for many, many years to come.

Photo safe glue is quick, easy, and inexpensive. Therefore, it is a great choice for embellishments, putting together photo and journal mats, etc. It is, however, not the optimum choice for pictures themselves. Why not? Because someone - even you - at sometime might want to take out a picture and use it in some way. It is nearly impossible to take out a picture that has been glue down without destroying it.

When adhering photos use acid free photo tabs, such as hermafix, tape or polypropylene corners. There are also many photo corner punches or photo mat slot punches that can be used. Simply punch your slot in a card stock mat and put in your photo.
